Where Is The Love, Mr. President?

sby_cry

It seems like our dear Mr. President has been spending his time sleeping rather than ruling the country, as apparent in the many terrible things that have happened in Indonesia during his reign, such as (totally picking things out randomly from the newspaper) malnutritioned children, Lapindo mud and just recently, the ever-increasing price of oil and gas (and soon fuel).

Therefore, I dedicate this piece to our lovely Mr. President, who was more inclined to show his tears in the safety of EX cinema whilst watching a sappy love movie that looked like it had been shot with a handy camera.

Hey – it sure beats reading the newspaper articles about starving children dying of hunger and the poor Sidoarjo people losing their homes because his chum Bakrie washed his hands off the Lapindo mud and called it “natural disaster”.

No wonder one of his council members fell asleep during his speech – surely, an apple does not fall far from the tree?

  2. Andie Summerkiss Says:

    Needs to do some serious self-inspection, don’t you think?

    Oh, that’s easy. We just don’t elect him no more. :P

    PS. I really thought he would be different …

  3. Ivy Says:

    aaawww….u drew him better than he actually looks like huahahaha… the one in the pic is just sooo cute

    @Cn:

    I got so hooked up into the irony that he was more moved by a movie than what’s happening in our country, and that inspired me to draw this kekekeke

    @Andie:

    Hi Andie, thanks for dropping by! You know, I never elect anyone in my whole life. I have always been the “Golongan Putih” people.

    PS: I actually have doubts about him since the beginning. He looks like a total pushover.

    @Ivy:

    Do you notice that he’s holding a hankie whilst watching the movie and his hand is kind of shaking a bit? I love that hahhahahha

    Er.. wait. Did I just praise my own drawing?

    Cool!
    Which Country With Him
    As The President? :D

    Election, What’s that?

  6. rimafauzi Says:

    Hey Therry,
    nice drawing, and so true!!

    He, all members of his Cabinet, the DPR/MPR members and all the government officials down to pak lurah included have no sensitivity towards human. They will cry and show emotion for a movie, but not for the majority of the Indonesian people living in poverty.

    And they say that Indonesia is a country of compassion and easter politeness.. my arse!

    Yesterday our of emotion, I seriously contemplated upon switching nationality. I will wait for a year or two and see what happens.

    oh and ps: I hope you do not go to jail for this piece of lovely artwork.. it’s based on facts, no? (just like Fitna hehehe)
    but then again, my blog entries are seriously defamatory, I called the government fucking retards, for God’s sake! lol

    Have to agree. Which humbles me, because at the time I thought SBY was a reasonable choice.

    Okay, learned a lesson or two. As an outsider: don’t go by what you see and read. And as an old man: use you’re life experience and don’t get fooled so naively by a dictator’s servant.

  8. Therry Says:

    @Rimafauzi:

    If I were you, I’d switch my nationality in a second. From what I’ve seen, things are not getting better.

    Especially with the whole Slank/DPR thing, I mean seriously, what’s next, Law against Musical Lyrics??

    And anyway … can people be put to jail for simply stating the truth?

    @Colson:

    Wow, you actually voted for him? I’ve never voted for anything in my entire life.

    And I must say, I’ve had my doubts on him since the very beginning. I just didn’t think it would be far worse than what I’d thought.

  9. Elyani Says:

    Ditto Therry..I didn’t vote for the last 2 election and have decided not to vote either next year.

    Yup. Karena nggak ada bedanya. Semua cuma bisa nawarin janji-janji palsu.

    @LiSan:

    Banget yah he3x…

    @Ingki:

    But what if I get jailed for defamation? :P
