Minimanimo!
A couple of weeks ago, my beau and I had the honor of designing a logo for an company that a friend of mine had just launched called Minimanimo.com; an online and offline gift shop selling everything cute and kawaii, like soft toys, perfumes, bed covers and sheets. Creating cute logos had been exciting and we had a lot of fun experimenting with colors and shapes as well as sketching a lot of chibi characters to emphasize the cuteness aspect.
The first things that came up in our minds were stuff related immediately to the word ’shopping’, such as a shopping bag full of goodies, a cute girl carrying a shopping bag, and a girl standing behind a huge shopping bag displaying the Minimanimo logo.

Keeping in mind that it had to be cute and fun (as specifically noted by my client) but nevertheless without limiting us as to what colors and shapes we could come up with, we added two more logos for good measures and ended up with three draft logos for her to choose.

The choice had fallen respectively to logo No. 3, which was the logo we were toying around with previously, only this time we decided to give the little girl a pair of wings to create an image that Minimanimo.com was not simply a gift shop but also a place where busy people could turn to when it came to the (sometimes) challenging task of finding the right present for that special someone, in which the little fairy could help you pick the right one.
After a few modifications and color-selections (only soft and bright colors were used for this one), this was the final result. We hoped that this logo would be continually developed into different application - not only as a logo but as a little helper that could guide the customers online, sort of like the dude with the glasses that you usually found as an assistance to give help and support in some data-processing programs.

We also tried to apply it onto different mediums such as coffee mugs and shopping bags so that we could see how versatile it was.

Therry, can’t imagine that a feisty lady like you can design oh-so-cutey logo. Hmm perhaps you could design the logo for Indonesian Expatriates Forum and my blog! Shall we talk business?
