The Chocoholic Spreads Her Love

… and possibly her legs too, if one might contain one’s curiosity to see what’s really underneath her skirts.

No, no, I’m totally kidding.

When I mention The Chocoholic, most of you already know who she is, right? Because if you don’t, then you should – she’s a fantastic person to get to know with. She’s outspoken, brave and compassionate and funny as hell. Like a box of Neuhaus finest pralinés, you can never get enough of her.

And that’s exactly what she’d given to me – a box of Belgian’s finest chocolates from Neuhaus, which came in a Ballotin – a special gift-wrap box which protects tthe delicious pralinés from being crushed. Her husband is in Jakarta for a couple of months, and with his return she included the gifts she’d thoughtfully prepared for me, so last Saturday my beau and I visited the Chocoholic’s husband – who is just as funny as she is – at his temporary residency during his stays in Jakarta, to pick up the chocolates and things, as well as passing over Elyani’s gift for Ms. Chocoholic, which I’m sure she will love.

The Neuhaus packaging was lovely, which piqued my interest even more to see and taste what was really inside of it. And when I finally did, I was hooked.

She was right – Belgian chocolate was really something else. I’ve tasted Guylian chocolates but this was ten times better. The pralines were lined neatly inside the box and it came in two layers, and as I’m writing this post the pralinés in the top layer are almost gone – and I’m not even premenstrual!

Apart from my very own heavenly Ballotin, there is also another box for the gentle and kind lady Elyani, and two hip and funky t-shirts for Woelank, a thank you gift from the Chocoholic because he was the mastermind behind the sassy and bold look of Chocoholic’s website.

And that wasn’t all, folks! She also gave me a fab Zara beach bag in blue – my favorite color! – and I can’t wait to wear it! It’s large and roomy, I think Micah can even fit in there, if I ever want to smuggle him somewhere…

She told me she was going shopping one night and when she saw the bag she thought of me and how much I love blue, so she bought one for me and she got one for herself in white. Isn’t she lovely? How can you not love her?

But of course a simple blog post does not do justice to show how much I appreciate her gestures - if only she is here … that’s a wistful thinking I’m hoping will come true sometime next year.

When I read that the Chocoholic (might) spread her legs…I was thinking am going to see Rima in Sharon Stone’s Basic Instinct pose picture in your posting The pralines look yummy…I can’t wait to taste them too. When are we going to meet then, Ther? Do you have any plans to go to Kelapa Gading to buy Micah foods? hehehe…(dasar males ke Bekasi niy) Nanti kita atur waktunya ya. Rima, thanks a lot. Micah’s food is still half full – perhaps I should buy more but I’m kinda broke now and Micah’s eating more than he does, which is not very supportive to his mommy! LOL

Dunno, just lost interest altogether.

I used to love all kinds of chocolate but now I don’t even want to touch those my boyfriends bought for me. They’re still in the fridge by the way. Want some? LOL

What made you lose interest with chocolates?? Care to share the deets?

I couldn’t help but smiling reading your plan to smuggle Micha’s in the bag .

I used to smuggle him with this bag designed for dogs and he was so little then so the security guards didn’t even realise what was inside the bag. There was an air hole on the side for him to look around and breath and he really enjoyed being carried around.

Now Micah’s grown bigger and he couldn’t fit into the bag anymore – well he could but his head must be sticking out from the air hole thing.. LOL.

you should try belgian chocolates, it will give you back your sense of taste..
although, danish chocolates aren’t bad, it’s better than hershey’s, that’s for sure..

I find Guylian quite average, my fave is Godiva. Belgian chocolates are too pretty to eat!!! But when you eat them, it is a divine experience you would never forget.

I’ve tried belgium chocolate once when my father’s friend back from belgium. And the taste is so… hmmm, yummy… not so bitter, but not so sweet as well. I really like the taste. Is that true that it consist of 76-80% cocoa???

Btw, about your friendship.. Since I know you about a couple of month ago… I’ve found out that you all here not only have a beautiful skin, beautiful face, but you all girls… (should I mentioned it one by one???… oke, let me say my pray first, hehehe…
