23 Oct 2008This post originates from Rima’s post about boobs, in welcoming International Blog About Boobs Week, I therefore participate because she has tagged me to do so.
Coming from a family of big-breasted women, I suppose I have nothing to complain, although it did feel odd having a pair of breasts that were growing up much more quickly than the rest of my body, that even during junior high I was already wearing underwire bras.
Unfortunately, women with big breasts need a lot of support, so underwire bras are necessary, not to mention the fact that my dear mother always regaled me with stories how big-breasted women are so easy to sag, so wearing these bras really help. Being the obliging daughter I was, I followed her advice strictly and religiously – until I developed red marks underneath my breasts from all those wires that had started to dig into my skin. Which was why I opted for sports bra – no underwires, and very snug – and have been converted ever since. I wear underwire bras very occasionally, though.
Nevertheless, being big-breasted – despite all the dramas that go with them – is nice most of the times, especially when friends always comment on how perfect their size are and how they’re just the right size to hold (from boyfriends), not to mention the involuntary attention I get from people (both men and women) whenever I walk around wearing tight tops and all. Plus, I don’t need any paddings to stuff inside my bra.
The truth is though, my boobs aren’t that big. The types of bra that I wear on the other hand, can give illusions that make them look twice as big. Here’s the hint: underwire bras equal big boobies, sports bra equals normal size boobies.
Everytime I look at people who have barely-there boobies like Keira Knightley, I feel lucky because I am blessed with naturally ample breasts that are just right and adorable. I think this must be what Scarlett Johansson feels whenever she wears low cut dresses. I’m pretty sure she thanks God everyday too for blessing her with such nice-looking boobs that are huge and bordering on obscene but still great to ogle at.
Talking about low-cut tops, maybe there is a reason why Scarlett bares her boobs so brazenly, because according to the illustration below …
Yes, people, happily married people tend to cover more. But hey, if you disagree, blame the cartoon, don’t blame me!
The following people are tagged – to ensure the boobs get around – Eru, Silly, Ivy and Ecky! You guys are booby-trapped! Haha!
Therrysays.com is a personal blog where I share my thoughts, opinions and rants about life in Indonesia and beyond. If this all sounds good to you, enjoy your stay, but if it isn't your cuppa tea, then kindly leave and let me be! Cheers.

yaay for big boobies!!!!
Then I am definitely happily married as I tend to cover up everything, unlike whilst single, I bared and bared and bared them all.. lol
I understand exactly what you mean about the underwire bra thing, but unfortunately i dont have the luxury (and the possibility) to switch to a sports bra, it’s just something impossible for my size.
mine are kinda like scarlett’s, only bigger.
lol

Hahahah…
Boobs boobs boobs.
Well, I guess I’m the other way around.
When I was single, I needed to keep my goodies in a safe deposit box.
Now I’m already “sold,” they don’t need to be that protected anymore.
Because there is a security guard by my side ready to protect them whenever they are “disenggol” hahahha…..
Well, that’s why the longer I’m in a relationship, the sexier I become.
And more cleavage…
Hehehheheh….

I’m definitely the other way around – mostly covered up when single, bcos I lived in a town where all FPI wannabes give dirty looks at women who bare too much. Now that I am married and living in Bali, I don’t care as much anymore – going out in tank tops, bra-less, shorts… the weather dictates what I wear

Guess I’m more old fashioned than you guys, he heh. I don’t understand why one would do that (showing cleavage or wearing super tight top) at work. Not professional at all. Outside of work, who cares?

Congratulation for being happy with what you have
I think that’s what’s most important. I have some friends who are complaining about having so huges boobs that they plan to do operation as it hurt their back, i also have friends who complain about small boobs. Complain is an unhappy state of mind. so u r lucky!
And Therry thank so much for asking me to hang out, that’s so cool and i am flattered
But i am still very mobile now, just came back from Aceh and will depart abroad today. Care to send me an email so we can arrange something when i come back? I dont have ur email.
