Sereeeeeem, indeed. I stopped making myself watch a horror movie after seeing the grudge. Do you notice that the Japanese 'female' ghost is similar in appearance to the stereotypical Indonesia lady ghosts? I'm sure I read someone wrote about this asiatic ghosts thing! And what's with the "red" dress? Apparently we had one in my dad's place back in Jkt. It wasn't a red dress though. It was DASTER MERAH instead! LOL (sambil takut).

Once I stayed in Melia hotel in Kuningan by myself. At around 3AM when I was sleeping, suddenly the bed started to shake with regular rhytm. I thought the people next door were having hot, wild sex - the wall that divided my room and the next was made of gypsum (not solid wall) and the bed's headboard was fastened onto that wall. Somehow I thought the wall next door must have contained the bed's headboard as well. I was very annoyed and even banged the wall, hoping the shaking would stop. I was still half-sleeping, so after a few knocks I just went back to sleep with some difficulty... I thought they were really at it to notice my banging. Eventually the shaking stopped.

The next day I told my colleagues about what happened. One colleague said, "are you sure it was people having sex at the next room? did you check at the front desk whether there were actually people staying at the next room?" Of course I didn't check. Turns out that Melia is well-known for ghost appearances, and many tales are already circulating! I could only laugh nervously.

Normally I'm always scared shitless when it comes to ghosts. I can't even watch horror movies without company. I don't EVER want to have the ability to sense, see or talk to ghosts. But that night I was so focused on getting back to sleep, whatever ghost who was planning to scare me that night must have given up!

But NEVER again I will stay in that hotel.

<blockquote>LOL ignorance is bliss, that's what they say. Weren't you relieved you found out about the ghost the day after, instead of in the evening when you were trying to sleep? If I were you I wouldn't be able to have any winks at all!

My friend went on a holiday to Bali (this was after the Bali bombing) and when they were sleeping in this hotel one night, both of them heard heavy breathing even though there were only two of them in the room. They freaked out and moved hotels immediately. Apparently it was the hotel where a lot of the victims stayed in, which was kind of sad, come to think of it :(</blockquote>
